Congratulations to these two inclusion champions who were recognized with the King Charles III Coronation Medal. The medals were presented by Her Honour, Brenda Murphy the Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick at a ceremony at Government House earlier this month.

Danny Soucy – Grand Falls, NB

Danny Soucy has worked to improve the lives of people with disabilities in New Brunswick for over three decades. He is a highly effective advocate for individuals and families. At Inclusion NB, he develops solutions to complex cases to expedite the delivery of essential services, connects individuals and their families to appropriate resources, provides expert advocacy support and collaborates with stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.

Danny is also a sought-after trainer for specialized planning, advocacy, and family engagement.

Patty O’Donnell – Saint John, NB

Patty O’Donnell brings an extraordinary level of enthusiasm and commitment to Inclusion NB’s Board of Directors, where she is a Life Member. Patty lost her sight in her forties and demonstrates incredible resilience to this day. She also has an intellectual disability and she lives independently with support from Inclusion NB. Patty is also the current President of People First of NB, a non-profit organization helping people with intellectual or developmental disabilities self-advocate.
